Sony Music Entertainment is seeking qualified students for a publicity internship in New York City. Applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit for their activity and commit 16 to 20 hours a week.
Candidates must be able to work the following hours either on site or remotely:
10am-2pm, 12pm-3pm or 3pm-7pm
-Write press material
-Assist with the development of proposals, campaigns and sponsorship presentations
-Schedule and observe photo shoots
-Assist with and attend special events and programs
-Assist with and attend presentations and VIP meetings
-Update company and client webpages
-Assist with eblasts and EPK creation
-Assist with and attend press conferences/Media Days
-Help develop pr/marketing/fundraising tools
-Learn street-level/grass roots promotions
-Attend industry events (fundraisers, press conferences, top level meetings)
-Pitch to media outlets
-Develop website and select web pages
-Create media lists
-Online research
-Create flyers, brochures, and other press materials
-Learn and grow as a marketing and PR Professionals
-Create databases, spreadsheets and grids
-Support client endeavors as needed
Part-time, credit only position available to students for college credit. Located in Burbank, CA.
- You should be based in the US and have excellent writing skills.

- Working either remotely or directly with Philadelphia, PA based Sleep.fm
- Suggest design element modifications & assist with implementation of new elements using Photoshop
- Assist with XHTML development
- Assist and suggest fixes for cross complaint issue
- Must be knowledgeable and skilled in HTML, CSS, and Photoshop
Administrative and clerical support of Music Dept. including phones, light filing, copying and typing, review data and create reports from library usage and show information, screen and log music submissions, etc. Must be enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit. Requires 20 hours a week for a 12 week period.
This internship will focus on all aspects of event promotions and event management, including social media marketing, web and email promotions, grassroots marketing and night-of production management. Educational credit is available if approved by your institution.
